ResQ Club connects businesses looking to reduce their surplus with consumers hunting for great deals. Our location-based mobile app makes it easy for nearby customers to discover and rescue surplus products, helping businesses reduce waste and generate extra revenue while doing it. We think this is a match made in heaven (or in Finland!).
But ResQ is more than just an app – it’s a growing movement. We’re building a community that believes surplus goods deserve a second chance.
Every item rescued is a story worth sharing. This is the story of how ResQ got started.
Once upon a time, there was a lonely croissant left behind. It was still in its prime, but it was almost closing time…
This sparked an idea. ResQ Club was born in 2015 in Helsinki, Finland with a simple yet ambitious goal: to reduce food waste from crop to fork and give surplus items a second chance. Day by day, meal by meal, we grew into a community determined to fight food waste and make a real difference.
As we kept rescuing, we realized the story didn’t end with food. There were flowers, cosmetics and other products also being left behind, still useful but at a risk of ending up in trash. So we expanded our mission from different foods to variety of goods. Today, we are on a mission to rescue all kinds of surplus and give every item a second chance.
The croissant and millions of other items have found their happily ever afters, but the story is far from over. What will you rescue next?
