Non-surplus food

Due to the ongoing corona crisis, restaurants can now sell also non-surplus food in ResQ.

What's changing?

ResQ Club is a marketplace for surplus food. However, restaurants are in desperate need of help with this current crisis. That's why we’re allowing ResQ to be used as a takeaway ordering platform during the crisis also for non-surplus food.

Non-surplus iOS

How do I know what's surplus and what's not?

In order to see the "normal" offers, you need to have the latest update on ResQ app and you need to opt-in from your settings. You won't see the non-surplus food in your ResQ app unless you decide so. Non-surplus offers are also marked with different tags, so they are visually different from the normal ResQ offers.

How to see the offers?

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the app! You can do this by going to your app store, searching for ResQ Club, and update if needed.
  2. Open the app. On top of the map there's a toggle switch that shows or hides the non-surplus offers. Tap it!

Why are you doing this?

We want to help our partner restaurants to survive this crisis. Many restaurants do not have any takeaway ordering system in place, and many restaurants are in the areas where the existing delivery companies do not operate. ResQ is a quick and easy way to receive takeaway orders during this time.

I don't want this!

If you prefer to use ResQ to purchase just surplus food, no action is needed. Your app will stay the same, and you will only see surplus offers until you change that yourself.
