ResQ Club Launched Wholesale Orders for Surplus Food!

Did you know that in Finland, the food industry accounts for about 20% of food waste? With the help of ResQ Club, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores have already been able to reduce their food waste. Now, we've launched a new service targeting an earlier stage in the food chain for industrial operators. This way, we can tackle over 50% of the food chain's waste.

Wholesale with ResQ

You can now purchase surplus products in larger wholesale batches through ResQ Club - delivered to your neighborhood. We are testing this service in the Helsinki metropolitan area in collaboration with wholesalers Veikko Laine and Satotukku.

Unfortunately, wholesalers cannot sell overripe, bruised, or misshapen fruits and vegetables to grocery stores because their appearance might not meet consumer expectations. However, these products are perfectly edible and just as delicious as the "perfect" ones in stores. Now, they are available through ResQ! The surplus products vary seasonally and can include e.g. bananas, mushrooms, eggplants, watermelons, and berries - all at discounted prices as usual.

How to order and pick up ResQ wholesale boxes?

1. Download the ResQ Club app
You can find the surplus boxes in the ResQ Club app by searching with the word "Kotikulma". You will find the offers also under the direct links for Satotukku and Veikko Laine in the ResQ app.

2. Choose the products you want to buy
Offers are available two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, between 8:00-13:00. Products are paid for in the ResQ Club app. Please note that a handling fee of €3,80 will be added to ResQ Kotikulma orders.

3. Pick up your products the same day
Pickup your products from the Foodnix store in Shopping Mall Redi between 16:00-19:30.
